Just a quick update today.
I’ve been a little busy during the past few days, with it being my birthday and all. I did manage to finish a commission, but it’s awaiting approval so I can’t share it just yet.
I did make these guys up on recolor.me though!
They’re just fun little dolls of my OC’s I Zombie and Kizmit. I had to do some post editing on them in photoshop for their markings, but not much – I like doll creation & editing things, they’re fun. I have a Torquemada one in progress!
I’ve been toying with the idea of making my Instagram a character only account.. or getting rid of it completely. Not sure yet, but I think it might inspire me to draw at least one of my OC’s a bit more often.
A little something of my ‘Fursona’ Kizmit.
I don’t know why I still call her my Fursona, we are nothing alike anymore and I’ve had so many renditions of her it’s both laughable and confusing!
I guess a part of me just clings to the idea of have a Fursona, because I have been a part of the furry fandom for so long! But, I don’t feel connected to her in the way that I feel like I should to a ‘Fursona’, ah well! I guess I just draw this stuff for the laughs and enjoyment. It’s best not to do too much over thinking on it all.
The sketch for this was from some-time last year, so it’s a little… off compared to my more up-to-date stuff. Still, I like it enough to share.
Again, no video because, honestly, I just keep forgetting that I can – I’ll try and remember for the next piece I line in.
So, here we go, the start of sharing my anthro artwork with the ‘wider world’ as mentioned/promised in my previous post.
Also, a quick shout out to the person who commented on that post. Your worlds meant a lot to me and I’ve been thinking about them a lot. Sorry I can’t thank you in person, because I have no idea who you are from the name that was left! It’s got me scratching my head – but thank you regardless.
So, on with the pictures.
I’ve been doing a few ‘Redraws’ lately – where I take one of my older pictures and draw them again; using the same character – there have been some modifications to designs where some of the characters have changed over the years though.
They have been a lot of fun to do; because I was once told ‘You’ll never improve as an artist if all you do is copy other people.’ At the time I took the words to heart, because I was rather new on the anthro art scene and the person who told me was really popular at the time; I don’t think they understood the word influence! All I have really done with my anthro art since I started was copy poses from magazines and use “fashion” blogs/boards/pictures as inspiration for outfits.
So, here we are~
Hopefully, you can tell the original from the redraw!!
