Small steps

I made some small steps of progress with Primaris Marines today. I managed to get a couple of base coats on. Slow and steady wins the race and all that!

Blood Guard: Update

Lately, picking up anything hobby related has felt a bit more like a chore than an enjoyment - part of why the art has been coming thick and fast compared to hobby related stuff. I walk past my Blood Guard army several times a day and each time I feel a mixture of guilt, for... Continue Reading →

Some new WIPs and something I found funny

I've been a bit lax here the past few days/weeks - I think people can understand why; life has taken a hectic turn. Keeping up with everything hobby related and blogging has been a bit more difficult. Juggling personal stuff and home-life had always been a task in itself and adding in a four-year-old into... Nothing links these models

I managed to get round to photographing some of my finished models properly today, so figured I'd share them on here. It's a very satisfying feeling getting a model finished and stored away on their army shelves and getting another step closer to being 'finished' with the army - makes me feel a lot less... Daily Challenge #2 – Larger model

These challenges are so much daily updates, but more an as and when I get round to them! Honestly, anything to keep the hobby going and working on different things is all good to me. I love the colour red, and have been enjoying painting the Blood Angels, so when I was asked […]Blood... Continue Reading →

Pin-up Commissar

Some time last year I brought myself this fantastic Pin-up model by Anvil Industries - they make some great character models and I've never been a huge fan of GW Commissar models so when this guy graced my presence I just knew I had to paint him up for my Astra Militarum... somehow, he just... Shadowspear Mortifactors

Sadly, my lightbox is too small to photograph all the models in the army together properly - I'll have to see if I can get a nice day for them to go outside and be photographed in natural light; I should do that when I take them beyond the 'tabletop standard' here - that's enough... Stealing from the Skull Throne

This is the test base for my Mortifactors Army; considering their obsession with skulls I figured this sort of a base made the most sense. I've not done a base like this before either, so it was fun figuring out how to do it without it just looking like I have stuck some skulls to... Continue Reading →
